Biography

Liu Haipeng works in the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, First Hospital of Jilin University, and is an Associate Chief Physician, Associate Professor, Master's Supervisor, and PhD. He graduated from Jilin University in 1998, obtained a master's degree in plastic surgery in 2006 and stayed to work at the university, was promoted to attending physician in 2009, studied eyelid plastic surgery and rhinoplasty at the Plastic Surgery Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences in 2012, obtained a PhD in plastic surgery in 2014, went to the Craniofacial Center, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan in 2015 to study congenital craniomaxillofacial malformations, and was promoted to Associate Professor, Associate Chief Physician, and Graduate Supervisor in 2017. He has long been engaged in clinical practice, scientific research, and teaching in plastic surgery. He has led research projects including "Development and Application of Poly-L-Lactic Acid Medical Soft Tissue Fillers," "Development and Clinical Application of an Intelligent Robotic Operating System for Assisted Cosmetic Double Eyelid Surgery," and "Research on Interventional Therapy for Hemangioma Based on a Gold Rod@Mesoporous Silica@Liposome Multiple Drug Sustained-Release System." To date, he has published more than 20 academic papers as first author, more than 10 of which are indexed by SCI, and many clinical research articles in internationally renowned plastic surgery journals such as JPRAS, JCS, and JPH.

Specialties: He specializes in various plastic surgery procedures, with particular depth of expertise in various eyelid plastic and aesthetic surgeries, including various double-eyelid surgeries, epicanthoplasty, comprehensive eye correction, and lower eyelid blepharoplasty (eye bag surgery). He has unique insights into the repair of various complex malformations, specialized treatment of ptosis, blepharophimosis syndrome, and eyebrow defect repair. He is a well-known plastic surgeon in the field who is excellent in both technical skill and academic achievement, and in 2019 he won the “Golden Knife Award” at the 2nd China Oculoplastic Surgery Golden Knife Award Competition.
